A new company has chosen North Lanarkshire as the location for its asphalt, aggregates, concrete and road surfacing business.
With support from the council and North Lanarkshire Properties, Roadlay Ltd identified premises at Rochsolloch Road, Airdrie.
The premises meet the company's needs to deliver innovative road and surfacing solutions, and will allow them to create new jobs, support local supply chains and pursue future growth.
The family business was created when MacAdam Asphalt Co Ltd, an asphalt production, quarry and transport company based in Lanark, was sold last year.
Stewart and Craig Denny subsequently moved to purchase the assets of a road surfacing business based in the Scottish Borders. Their new company, Roadlay Ltd, was born, building on the family's significant 40 years' experience in the Scottish industry.
Craig Denny, Roadlay Director Ltd: "Many thanks for the very professional advice from North Lanarkshire Council Enterprise Team and North Lanarkshire Properties and the speed at which they expedited our request for premises. A class act indeed."
