USC Hydraulics, Carluke-based hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial equipment supplier, has announced that it is now stocking Schedule 10 and 40 AISI 316 stainless steel pipe, available in three and six metre lenghts.
Pipe Schedule have a composition of Steel Seamless Tube and heat treatment of annealing, always produced according to ASTM-A 312 regulation. Delivered in lengths of 3 or 6 meters.
Pipes Schedule 10- SCH 10
USC offer six sizes of Pipes Schedule 10 with wall thickness that, depending of the size, range from 2.11 to 2.7 inches and with pipe diameters ranging from 21.3 millimeters ( ½”) to 60.33 millimeters (2”). Suitable for pressures up to 260 bar (small sizes) from 116 bar (large sizes).
Pipes Schedule 40- SCH 40
Pipes Schedule 40 have a greater wall thickness than Pipes Schedule 10, this feature makes it resistant to high pressure. Its has a thickness ranging from 2.7 to 3,91 inches with pipe diameters ranging from 21.3 millimeters ( ½”) to 60.33 millimeters (2”). Suitable for pressures up to 354 bar (small sizes) from 116 bar (large sizes).
Applications
ASTM-312 Pipes are suitable for use in industrial settings, extreme temperatures and corrosive environments. They are also used in process equipment: heat exchangers, reactors and heaters; and acid fluid systems of petroleum and petrochemicals industry, food processing, pharmaceutical, railway, industrial, aerospace and automotive.
Other Rigid Pipes
Apart from Pipes Schedule (SCH), USC supply Metric pipes E235 with Steel Seamless Tube, and diameters from 6x4 to 42x6 millimeters, that are suitable for pressures up to 139 bar from 365 bar. Manufactured according EN 10305-4 standard.
They also supply Metric pipe E235 - Chrome III, (Steel Seamless Tube with chrome II surface treatment), with diameters from from 6x4 to 42x6 millimeters, that are suitable for pressures up to 139 bar from 365 bar. Manufactured according EN 10305-4 standard.
In respect of stainless steel metric rigid pipes AISI 316-L (Steel Seamless Tube with Heat treatment of Annealing) are available measures with diameters from 6x4 to 42x6 millimeters, that are suitable for pressures up to 210 bar from 490 bar. Manufactured according EN 10305-4, A 213 and ASTM- A 269 standards.
