Planning permission has been granted for a new four-star hotel along the River Ness in Inverness.
The site, which has lay vacant for 20 years after the demolition of the Glebe Street Swimming Pool, will see the construction of an AC Hotel by Marriott.
The 175-room hotel will comprise a spacious lobby with associated terraces onto the River Ness, as well as a bar and restaurant, meeting rooms, private dining areas and a gym.
Vastint Hospitality is leading the project, with plans for the development redesigned following comments raised on the previous proposal.
The team is currently working on the detailed design next to ongoing site investigations.
Work is expected to start on site in late 2020 or early 2021.
