Kingdom Housing Association 'Bounces Into Action'

Construction News Image
To celebrate Scottish Housing Day, Kingdom Housing Association bounced into action at The Henge in Glenrothes with an extra special tenant roadshow.

As part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations, all summer Kingdom has toured the roadshow across its developments, engaging with tenants, answering questions about housing, instantly carrying out small repairs where possible and encouraging tenant participation.

For Scottish Housing Day, to celebrate the positive impact that good quality housing makes to the lives of people and communities and to highlight the housing options that are available, the tenant roadshow was the biggest yet.

The bouncy castle and ice cream van entertained the youngsters while partner organisations provided a wealth of information for the grown-ups. Police Scotland offered advice on beating scammers with their dummy cash machine while Fife Council Housing Benefit, Safer Communities Fife, Kingdom Works and Kingdom Support & Care shared their knowledge and expertise.

Speaking after attending the event, Bill Banks, Kingdom Group chief executive, said: "At Kingdom we're always incredibly proud to be part of Scottish Housing Day. We know from first-hand experience the very real, life-changing impact good quality affordable housing can have on people's lives.

"We know because our tenants tell us! Having a home which meets your needs, is safe and secure provides a fantastic foundation for a happy life and events like our tenant roadshows are a brilliant way for us to celebrate that."
