Maintenance work at Fochabers village hall in Moray has secured a significant funding boost.
Leading Scottish contractor Morrison Construction and UK gas firm SGN have donated £500 each to support the project.
This £1,000 funding will help the Fochabers Village Association complete the installation of an air conditioning unit in the balcony seating area of the hall.
Both companies have been heavily involved in further work in the area, with Morrison delivering an £800k main replacement across Old Bridge Road on behalf of Scottish Water in April. SGN also began a £500k project in February to replace the gas main on the Old Road Bridge.
They worked together to keep temporary shelter in place across the bridge, above the River Spey, to protect the infrastructure and project teams from the elements during construction.
Morrison Construction Performance Manager Christina Calder, said: "At Morrison Construction, we believe in giving back to the communities we live and work in as part of our progressive community benefits programme. We are delighted to assist with the maintenance of the Fochabers village hall, a special venue at the heart of this community."
