New Outdoor Gym Opens In North Lanarkshire

A new outdoor gym has officially opened at Airdrie Leisure Centre in North Lanarkshire.

The state-of-the-art equipment has adjustable pistons which allows users to increase the resistance experienced during workouts.

The project cost £60,000 and was fully funded by North Lanarkshire Council through the Community Matters (Locality Partnerships) programme.

Councillor Jim Logue, leader of the council, said: "This is a fantastic new gym which will be of great benefit to both local people and the wider North Lanarkshire community. It enhances the existing facilities at Airdrie Leisure Centre and I would encourage everyone to come along and try the gym and enjoy some exercise in the fresh air."
