Scottish Water are offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of their biggest investments in Argyll and Bute – the new Tullich Water Treatment Works.
A new short film shows how the raw water from Loch Gleann A'Bhearraidh Reservoir is treated to ensure customers in the area continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water for years to come.
This major investment means the water supply will continue to meet stringent quality standards and enable future growth and development in the Oban area.
The Oban Tullich WTW supply zone reaches as far north of the town as Port Appin, and as far south as the islands of Seil and Luing, including the areas of Connel and Benderloch in between.
The construction of the new Tullich Water Treatment Works (WTW), just south of Oban, began in spring 2016 and was delivered by the utility's delivery partner Efficient Service Delivery (ESD).
