A number of bridges in Aberdeenshire are set to close over the summer for essential maintenance work.
Four bridges on the A957 Stonehaven to Crathes Slug Road - A957 Blairydrine Bridge, A957 Cowton Bridge, A957 Mowtie Bridge and A957 Findlayston Bridge - will be closed throughout July and August in a rolling programme.
The repairs are needed due to repeated impacts by vehicles and general deterioration due to age.
The continuous rolling closures over eight weeks are necessary to ensure the safety of the workforce and will take place on the following dates:
• A957 Blairydrine Bridge – 01-14 July
• A957 Cowton Bridge – 15 July to 11 August
• A957 Mowtie Bridge – 12-18 August
• A957 Findlayston Bridge – 19-24 August.
The diversion route throughout the closure will be via the new AWPR (A90) Stonehaven to Milltimber and A93 Milltimber to Crathes.
