Apprentice Assessments Commence At Clark Contracts

The recruitment and selection process for Clark Contracts 2019 intake of trade apprentices is "well underway".

Following on from our Careers Evening held on Tuesday 5th March 2019 we received over 180 applications. Around 40 applicants have now been invited to attend assessment sessions at Clark Contracts' head office in Paisley.

From the assessments, Clark's recruitment team will invite the highest scoring candidates back for a first stage interview and if successful, a final shortlist of candidates will be invited back for a second stage interview with our contracts managers.

Those successful will be offered a place in the Clark Contracts Academy, joining our four-year apprenticeship programme.

Apprentices are appointed a trained mentor, a previous apprentice themselves, separate from their line manager, to support them throughout their apprenticeship. The work they complete on site will be in line with the modules they are studying at college.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, said: "As with previous years, we have been impressed by not only the number of applicants but also the quality of those received. We are looking forward to selecting our 2019 intake of apprentices and are excited for them to begin their careers with us."

Following completion of their apprenticeship, individuals are offered further opportunities to study and progress with many becoming site supervisors and site managers at Clark Contracts.
