Merit Holdings is to development its specialist turnkey design and build business in Scotland with the announcement of three key appointments to its Glasgow team.
Charlie McKenzie joins the Glasgow office as Regional Managing Director along with Rob Beattie as Project Consultant and Steven Tracey as Accounts Manager. They will support the existing team, working alongside Scottish Regional Director, John Langan. The Scotland team now has over 100 years of experience that includes the successful delivery of many major multi-million construction and specialist engineering projects across the UK.
Merit's Glasgow office is supported by a national team located at the company's Cramlington HQ and fabrication centres and its office in London.
This initiative signals Merit's commitment to achieving significant growth in its Scottish business over the next five years. The company enjoyed 20% growth last year and was awarded 'company of the year' at the 2018 North East Business Awards.

Merit supplies design, construction and installation to complex industrial markets including Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Industrial Process, Data Centre, Cleanrooms, Containment and laboratory facilities. The company has completed specialist design and build projects for a wide range of customers including SGS Vitrology, Rolls Royce, GSK, Lifescan and is currently constructing three specialist laboratories for the British Antarctic Survey on their newest research vessel, the RSS Sir Richard Attenborough.
