The 'lovelocks' attached to Pitlochry's Port-na-Craig footbridge are to be removed to allow for structural assessments.
The padlocks are currently preventing Perth & Kinross Council from carrying out a full inspection on the structure. They are also causing damage to the bridge paintwork leading to rusting of steel sections, as well as posing a potential snagging hazard for pedestrians.
Work will begin on 12 November to remove the padlocks and touch-up the paintwork on the bridge.
It is expected to be completed by Thursday 22 November, weather permitting.
