Scottish Water has successfully outlined a defect in the Sandwick water supply, with plans now in place for repairs this weekend.
The utility will carry out repairs on the section of main identified in Hoswick.
Work will commence this weekend, 10 November, and is expected to be completed by the end of next week.
Up to 400 customers in the Sandwick area may experience interruption to their supply or low pressure on 10-11 November between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Customers are advised not to use any water during these times.
Disruption to traffic is also expected while a section of water main is excavated in the public road.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank the local community for their cooperation, patience and understanding while we complete this essential work on their water network."
