Work is underway to restore a damaged water main link in the Highlands.
The scheme is located in a steep section of the embankment at Dunbeath Brae, with the main being relocated to a more stable and accessible area beneath the public path on the embankment.
Gavin Steel, of Scottish Water, said: "While we are able to maintain supply to customers in both sides of the village, it is important we restore this link to provide extra resilience under a range of situations.
"We understand that closing the footpath will cause some short term disruption for residents and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. We will work closely with our contractors to ensure work is completed as quickly as possible.
"Given the condition of the footpath following heavy rain during the winter, we will also make sure that it is reinstated to an improved standard once we have finished laying the main."
