Clark Contracts has been appointed to carry out primary school refurbishment project in Renfrewshire.
Both West Primary School in Paisley and Inchinnan Primary School will undergo upgrades as part of a continuing programme by the council to improve local schools.
At West Primary School, extensive works will be carried out to refurbish the building's roof and windows, while Inchinnan Primary School will have its existing electrical wiring system replaced and CCTV installed.
Young people looking to get into construction work will also benefit as the two projects will involve a number of work and graduate placements.
Cllr Jim Paterson said: "We have a continuous programme of investment in our schools that ensure our children and young people have the best possible learning environment.
"Work on both schools will start during the summer, with electrical works at Inchinnan Primary School expected to be complete by the new school."
