Hawick-based Waverley Housing has announced Fraser Kelly is to become its new Chief Executive.
Mr Kelly will join the housing association in January 2018, following the retirement of current Chief Executive Margaret Ross.
With more than 25 years' experience in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, Mr Kelly is currently Chief Executive of Social Enterprise Scotland.
David Gordon, Chair of Waverley Housing, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Fraser as our new Chief Executive and are confident that he has the necessary experience and skills to take Waverley forward to meet the challenges facing the housing sector in the Scottish Borders."
Outgoing Chief Executive, Ms Ross, said: "We undertook a rigorous selection process and I am delighted that we have appointed such a high calibre candidate in Fraser and am confident that he is well equipped to lead Waverley into the next chapter and strengthen our position as a social housing provider within the Scottish Borders."
Mr Fraser said: "I am, in equal amounts, delighted, and excited to be joining the Waverley Housing team. The opportunity to be part of a well governed, well managed and high performing organisation whilst allowing me to live and work in the Scottish Borders is quite fantastic. I am looking forward to it enormously."
