Work is continuing on the £100 million Shieldhall Tunnel project in Glasgow.
The scheme is a key part of Scottish Water's £250m, five-year investment to improve river water quality and the natural environment and tackle flooding in the Greater Glasgow area.
Road users are now being advised a stretch of Queen's Drive/Langside Road, which has been closed for around 16 months to allow work to be carried out, will reopen on Friday, 22 September
The route was shut to allow engineers to build a shaft which will connect to the new tunnel within the site compound in Queen's Park.
Mark Maclaren, Scottish Water's community manager for the project, said: "We are delighted that the road closure on Queen's Drive/Langside Road is about to be lifted.
"Our Shieldhall Tunnel work is progressing and we required this road traffic management to enable us to continue. The road closure was for longer than the year we had originally anticipated and this was due to some additional work that was required.
"We did everything we could to minimise any inconvenience to road users, local residents and businesses and can assure them that any traffic disruption experienced will be far outweighed by the long-term benefits our investment will deliver.
"Our work in part of Queen's Park itself will continue but we no longer require the road to be closed and we know local residents and businesses will welcome the lifting of the road closure."
