More than £35,000 is to be invested to upgrade Douglas Community Centre in Dundee.
The scheme will see new power and data supplies installed, as well as uprating the decoration and floor coverings.
The works are being carried out to support the Big Noise project, which delivers a mix of in-school and after-school sessions across Claypotts Castle Primary and St. Pius Primary.
The council's construction services division will carry out the work, which gets underway later this month.
Lynne Short, convener of the council's development committee, said: "I was pleased to be able to sign off these works and get them up and running as quickly as possible so that facilities are in place for the young people in Douglas who want to get involved."
