Stirling Council has confirmed plans to carry out a £1.8 million refurbishment project at Strathyre Primary School.
The scheme will see additional teaching space provided as well as a sport, dining, and community area. In addition, the project will remove existing modular accommodation and the need to transport pupils off site for physical education.
Other highlights include better energy efficiency, a third classroom to comply with maximum class size limits for composite classes and the removal of a rented temporary teaching.
Construction work is due to begin this September, with completion scheduled for 11 months later in summer 2018.
Cllr Susan McGill said: "It's one of our key priorities to ensure that every child has a school environment conducive to getting the best possible education. The renovations at Strathyre Primary School will result in a modern and fulfilling environment in which to learn."
