Work on a £750,000 zoo improvement scheme in Aberdeen is now complete.
The renovation and expansion project was carried out at Pets' Corner in Hazlehead Park.
Features included the replacement of the roof over both parts of the buildings, internal alterations and refurbishment, the installation of new fish and reptile tanks, new external access ramp and paths, and an upgrade to the staff facilities.
The new aquarium and reptile section will be open on 01 July and work will finish on the education room shortly afterwards.
Cllr Yvonne Allan said: "It's great the work has finished for the new aquarium and reptile section and I'm sure visitors from both near and far will enjoy the new facilities.
"Pets' Corner has been popular with families for years but the refurbishments and new additions will make it a really exciting place to go for people of all ages.
"The work will be finished just as the school holidays start so we're sure Pets' Corner will be even more popular this year."
