Residents are being given more time to comment on the proposed West Highland and Islands Local Development Plan (WestPlan).
A consultation on the blueprint was originally scheduled to end on 30 June. However, the deadline has now been extended to 12 noon on 21 July.
The extension allows additional time to consider content relating to Morar and Invergarry, which was omitted from the initial version, and for other interested parties to consider the content of the Plan. The new deadline also applies to the Proposed Environmental Report and the Proposed Action Programme which accompany the Plan.
The local authority is currently preparing a new Local Development Plan for the West Highland and Islands area which will guide future development for the next 10 to 20 years.
