Plans have been approved for a new student accommodation development in Aberdeen.
The 374-bed scheme will be built on an empty brownfield site on John Street.
The developer, George Downing Construction, is aiming to start work on site in the coming months, with students scheduled to move into the new facility by the end of summer 2018.
Designed by Fletcher Joseph Associates, the architects said: "Once complete the building will offer active frontage, linking the city centre streets with the Woolmanhill area, and feature a landmark corner block, which is to act as a visible bookend to John Street.
"The development's u-shape footprint offers amenity at the heart of the scheme, channelling building occupants around internal and external social areas. The proposals have also been improved, following dialogue with Aberdeen City Council, in order to offer better daylighting to both future students and neighbouring properties."
