Plans have been submitted for a new Premier Inn hotel in the Highlands.
LMA Architects have designed the scheme, which would be built at the southern gateway into Aviemore. The site was previously occupied by a service station which was demolished and cleared.
The project forms one of a number of Scottish Premier Inn schemes being designed by the practice.
Features include cladding the building in predominantly vertical timber cladding, which will "silver over time to reflect the ever changing Scottish sky above and will complement the zinc cladding".
In addition, LMA Architects said: "The windows contrast with the horizontal emphasis of the barn like form and projecting slender ground floor folded canopy. The canopy holds the glass box, behind which the restaurant sits. This activates the street edge, whilst identifying and protecting the main entrance."
