Work To Begin On Scottish Borders Road Maintenance Project

Work is to begin on a road maintenance project in the Scottish Borders.

The A7 road north of Stow to the Midlothian boundary is set to undergo resurfacing and patching works on various sections of the route, including the Heriot bends.

As a result, this section of road will be closed from 8am – 4pm on Friday, 28 October and from 01 – 04 November.

Councillor Gordon Edgar said: "This section of the route is used by almost 5,400 vehicles every day according to statistics from the A7 Action Group, and I am sure the improvements will be welcomed by motorists."
