An outdoor museum which was built as part of the £7 million Helensburgh Public Realm scheme has won a national award.
The facility has received the Saltire Arts in Public Spaces award and is the first outdoor museum in Scotland. It was delivered by arts organisation WAVEparticle in collaboration with architects Austin-Smith:Lord.
The accolade marks the third award this year for the multimillion-pound regeneration project.
WAVEparticle Lead Artist, Peter McCaughey, said: "The Saltire Award is the latest in a series of awards and prestigious nominations this year, and our hope it that this makes the future of the Outdoor Museum undeniable and that each year we see wonderful additions to this alternative museum, embedded at the heart of Helensburgh."
Graham Ross, Austin-Smith:Lord Partner, added: "We are delighted that the exemplary work of our friends and regular collaborators at WAVEparticle has rightly received national recognition with a prestigious Saltire Award for Arts in Public Places."
