Scotland TranServ is to begin a £137,000 road maintenance programme on the A78 in Inverclyde.
Engineers will start resurfacing the carriageway between Dunlop Street Roundabout and Pennyfern for five nights from Monday, 01 August.
For safety reasons, a total road closure will be in place between 8pm – 6am each night.
Andy Fraser, operating company representative for Scotland TranServ, said: "This maintenance scheme will ensure the long term resilience of the A78 in Inverclyde.
"We have carefully considered all the available options and closing the route at this location is the safest and most efficient method of delivering our operations."
