Hub South East Scotland has reached a major milestone on its £7 million assisted living project in Bathgate.
Main contractor Graham Construction is nearing completion on the scheme and the first tenants have moved into the new 30-flat Rosemount Gardens complex in Mid Street.
Phase two of the project, which involves refurbishing the existing Rosemount Court sheltered housing development, is now underway. The scheme will see 16 one-bedroom flats created to meet the needs of older people.
Council Leader John McGinty said: "The new £7 million Rosemount Gardens and Court development will offer comfortable supported housing for local older people, and create a real sense of community through the welcoming communal areas."
Paul McGirk, Hub South East Scotland's Chief Executive, added: "We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with West Lothian Council in delivering the second phase of this project."
