The University of Edinburgh has selected McLaughlin & Harvey as the main contractor to develop a new unit at its Easter Bush Campus.
The Equine Diagnostics, Surgical & Critical Care Unit (EDSCCU) consists of four integral parts.
• A specialised diagnostics and triage area for evaluating emergency cases
• two state of the art operating theatres plus a new standing surgery suite
• A dedicated critical care unit comprising of six suites
• support space, to deliver on-site teaching and education for students as well as supporting clients.
Paul Griffen, Construction Director at McLaughlin & Harvey, said: "To be awarded this prestigious contract for The University of Edinburgh is testament to the reputation we’ve built up for delivering high-quality developments for our clients. Following on from the Easter Bush Innovation Centre project and the award for the construction and fit-out of the Data Technology Institute Building, this project is our third new build development we have on-going for the University at present."
