Balfour Beatty has reached a major milestone on the development of a new railway station concourse in Dundee.
Over 40 support beams weighing 18 tonnes each have been installed to support the new concourse and buildings over the main east coast rail line.
In addition, work is continuing on developing the lift and escalator pits at platform level, along with the main building foundations.
Will Dawson, convener of the council's development committee, said: "Within the past few weeks our contractors Balfour Beatty have been cracking on with the foundations for the development, completing substantial piling works in April
"Recent good weather has been critical in keeping us on programme so that we can install the beams to the timetable agreed with Network Rail that lets work over the tracks take place during the night."
The project is due to be completed in early 2018.
