East Lothian Council is to host a series of informational roadshows for small to medium-sized construction businesses.
The events will provide a "one stop shop" for businesses involved in the construction industry to access information, advice and support.
Key themes will include:
• Construction skills, training, and apprenticeships
• Business funding
• Recruitment
• East Lothian Council Contracts
Attendees include Historic Environment Scotland, who will provide information on skills training and best practice when working with traditional and historic properties.
In addition, Edinburgh College will present opportunities associated with its new Musselburgh Construction Academy, while staff from the Tranent Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme will give SMEs the chance to find out how they can bid for contacts.
The council will also be on hand to give advice on its procurement service and its Trusted Trade scheme.
Other exhibitors include Skills Development Scotland, The Scottish Lime Centre Trust and The Federation of Master Builders along with other providers, suppliers, and industry bodies.
The remaining events will take place between 8am - 10am on:
• Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbaron Thuesday, 22 September.
• Loch Centre, Tranent on Thursday, 27 October.
