The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' (RICS) has named Borders Railway as the Scottish Infrastructure project of the year.
The £294 million scheme will represent Scotland at RICS Awards Grand Final in London later this year.
The project re-established a passenger rail link for the first time in 40 years from Edinburgh through Midlothian to Tweedbank in September last year.
Works included installing 30 miles of new railway along with seven new stations.
In addition, supporting infrastructure was built and upgraded.
Chair of RICS Scotland judging panel, Colin Smith MRICS, said: "The new rail network addition is highly popular and the judges could not fail to consider the project’s delivery time, quality and inherent sustainablity credentials."
