Improvement works are underway on an iconic landmark in Dundee.
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has provided £90,000 to redevelop the environment around The Law in the centre of the city.
The project will be led by the Dundee Law Heritage Project.
The scheme will allow local people to get involved in improving access to the landmark by renewing paths and steps.
Cllr John Alexander visited the site to mark the projects start on Wednesday, 06 April.
He said: "The Law is Dundee's most iconic landmark, a part of the heritage of our people and city and this project not only refurbishes infrastructure but reflects public support for the Take Pride in Your City events that are already helping clean up the Law.
"In addition I am thrilled that we are getting such significant support for our work from the Heritage Lottery Fund."
Lucy Casot head of the HLF in Scotland, added: "Dundee Law Heritage Project is a great scheme that shows clearly how local heritage can be a catalyst for lots of different activities and bring people together behind a common purpose.
"HLF is pleased to support Dundee City Council in its plans to enable people to enjoy the history on their own doorstep."
