Work is due to begin on improving a healthcare centre in North Lanarkshire.
The £23 million Houldsworth Centre in Wishaw was built by the council and NHS Lanarkshire in August last year.
It contains GP and dental services, as well as a range of other health services.
Improvement works at the facility will get underway on Monday, 11 April.
Features include creating a bus bay to give cars and passengers increased space, installing a new footpath and moving the existing pedestrian crossing.
In addition, the road will be resurfaced and lined.
The work will also create an improved entrance and exit arrangement for a new 190-space decked car park being built on the site of a former health centre, which is expected to open in June.
Shirley Linton, Head of Planning and Regeneration, said: "The Houldsworth Centre is very busy every day and with two-way traffic, bus stops, a pedestrian crossing, and access to the new car park, Kenilworth Avenue will become congested.
"We have reviewed traffic and pedestrian flow in the area and, as a result, we are implementing a number of improvements to make the area safer and more pleasant for everyone using the centre and town centre."
The majority of work is due to be completed by the end of May.
