McLaughlin & Harvey (McL&H) has delivered a £2 million fit-out project for Strathclyde Partnership for Transport's (SPT) new head office in Glasgow.

The 18-week scheme was carried out due to SPT's previous HQ being demolished as part of the Glasgow Queen Street station redevelopment programme.

Features included the internal fit-out of seven floors of office space and an additional basement level.

Energy efficient M&E systems were installed, along with building partitions and glazed screens, joiner-work, decoration, floor finishes and ICT installation.

McL&H also delivered meeting rooms, kitchen areas, toilet refurbishments a new reception and staff break out areas.

Richard Restrick, head of fit-out at McL&H, said: "This was a big project for the fit-out team at McLaughlin & Harvey with over 100 contractors on site at peak times, and as a local contractor, we were proud to win and deliver the contract.

"SPT had a real empathises on energy efficiency, which heavily influenced how we delivered the fit-out and considered this aspect when designing and installing the components."
