Work is underway on a new housing development in Argyll and Bute (A&B).
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) have began developing five three-bedroom family homes at Victoria Park in Dunoon.
The project is being built by M&K MacLeod and is expected to last around a year, with anticipated handover in spring 2017.
The development is valued at over £800,000, with contributions from ACHA, the Scottish Government and A&B Council.
Alastair MacGregor, ACHA's Chief Executive, said: "I am pleased that we are now on site. Not only will this development provide 5 family homes, it will provide jobs for 20 workers, including 3 apprentices, during the time on site."
Bruce Marshall, Cowal Councillor and ACHA Board member, added: "I would like to add to Alastair's comment that I am very pleased that ACHA is increasing its housing stock in Cowal and at this very difficult time when funding for new build is so hard to get and I am pleased the Council has been able to assist to make this come about."
