A five pillar plan for sustainable growth in Scotland's construction sector has been revealed by the Scottish Building Federation (SBF).
In its new policy manifesto ahead of the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections, the organisation sets out a series of recommendations to support the industry.
Key areas for focus include procurement, skills, training and recruitment, planning and energy efficiency.
Vaughan Hart, Managing Director, SBF, said: "This manifesto has been drafted following a period of formal consultation with our members over the past months.
"Its content reflects the detailed feedback we have received from our members throughout the country and outlines priority issues they would like to see addressed by the next Scottish Parliament.
"In compiling this document, our aim has been to produce something which reflects the concerns, aspirations and policy wishes of our members and presents these in an accessible format for the benefit of all candidates standing for the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections.
"Taken together, we believe that the recommendations outlined in this document would contribute positively towards delivering sustainable long-term growth in the Scottish construction industry.
"This will be of benefit not only to those working in the industry but to the Scottish economy as a whole.
"We intend to use this manifesto as the basis of debate with candidates about priorities for the Scottish construction industry over the lifetime of the next Scottish Parliament."
