Scotland TranServ is continuing to design repairs for an interchange junction in Renfewshire, it has been announced.

St James' Interchange in Paisley was damaged by a landslip after the extreme weather experienced in the region over recent months.

Scotland TranServ will carry out a series of detailed inspections to the carriageway, barriers and drainage system to determine the scale of damage and necessary repairs.

Temporary traffic management is currently in place while the road construction company carries out its investigations.

Gordon Wilson, Contract Director, said: "Scotland TranServ is carrying out the necessary assessments to ensure the embankment is stabilised and the adjacent safety barrier and drainage system are fit for purpose."

Councillor Eddie Devine added: "To ensure the roundabout is fully operational as quickly as possible for traffic, we've been working closely with Scotland TranServ as they carry out the necessary work at St James Interchange."
