South Ayrshire Council Announces Housing Survey

South Ayrshire Council is inviting residents to take part in an online survey about housing in the region.

It is understood results of the survey will be implemented into the council's Local Housing Strategy for 2017 – 2022.

The strategy influences all types of housing, including council housing, private jets, owner-occupied and housing association properties.

In addition, the results could dictate council partners such as housing associations and private sector builders.

Councillor Philip Saxton said: "We are committed to ensuring people are able to access good quality, affordable housing across South Ayrshire.

"In order to achieve this we need to know the housing issues that affect people, what we are doing well and what we can improve upon."

The deadline for completed surveys is Friday, 29 January 2016.
