Work to repair and maintain a road in Angus is now complete, it has been announced.
The High Street in Kirriemuir town centre reopened to traffic at 8am this morning, 26 October.
Final surfacing and finishing touches were carried out over the weekend.
The repair and maintenance programme has been undertaken in the town's Glengate, St Malcolm's Wynd and High Street.
It involved road re-surfacing, as well as the cobbles (or red setts) being lifted, repaired and re-established in the High Street.
Local councillor Jeanette Gaul said: "I am delighted to see this programme of works reach completion.
"It has improved the condition of the roads network at the heart of Kirriemuir and at the same time has remained true to the area’s conservation status."
