A development project in Edinburgh has been chosen as the national 'Project of the Year' at an awards ceremony.
The Advocate's Close scheme was selected at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards 2015.
The development was delivered by Thomas & Adamson surveyors and Morgan McDonnell Architecture for the Chris Stewart Group.
Located at an historical site within the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, the project created a 'vibrant' new quarter within previously run-down part of the city.
Existing buildings at the site were rehabilitated while more contemporary additions were added to the location.
Chairman of the RICS judging panel, David Tuffin FRICS, said: "Careful conservation, coupled with sensitive interventions and a clever use of new material and finishes, has produced an imaginative mixed-use scheme, including a new hotel, 50-serviced apartments with views over the city, offices, restaurants, cafés and bars. These combine to produce a commercially sustainable and elegant addition to the Old Town."
The RICS Awards 2015 Grand Final was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London.
