Dundee City Council has announced anti slip surfacing will be permanently installed along the 1.5 mile central walkway of the Tay Road Bridge.
Following the success of a two year trial, the glass reinforced plastic panels will be installed by Raynesway Construction in a ten week contract costing over £460,000.
During works, the walkway will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists. However, the council is urging the public to be aware near the areas of work due to the limited width available.
Work is expected to get underway the week beginning 7 September.
