Council Takes Ownership Of £7.5m School Site

West Lothian Council has taken ownership of a site for a new £7.5 million primary school.

A land transfer contract was signed by developers allowing plans to move forward.

Funding for the new school in Armadale has already been agreed by West Lothian Council and a tender for the construction will be completed by the end of May.

Executive Councillor for Education, Lawrence Fitzpatrick, said: "We are pleased to have reached this stage in the process. The transfer of ownership from the developer to the council is a critical stage in the process to deliver a new primary school for Armadale."
