The Motherwell Local Area Partnership is to contribute £59,000, while Play Services via the Learning and Leisure Capital budget, will fund the remaining £30,000.
Designs include a climbing unit, grass mounds, see saws, a rope swing, a five person swing bay, Springer's and a toddler area.

Michele Battersby, Local Regeneration Manager, said: "Members of the public approached their local councillors to make improvements at the park and, following a site visit with them, the joint funding has been approved.
"This substantial investment will allow the creation of a modern and exciting new play space and encourage children to make the most of their local outdoor spaces."
Work is set to begin in mid-May.
