Scottish Water (SW) has announced the completion of a water services assignment in Canada.
Project consultants identified benefits for The City of Calgary’s Water Services business unit.
The team carried out a 12 month review of Calgary's water-related operational activities, drawing on SW's knowledge in operations and maintenance, service delivery, benchmarking, project and change management.
Consultants identified more than 30 opportunities in business cases for Calgary to consider with a focus on customer service.
Up to $5 million in avoided costs could be created for the Calgary water business.
Principal Consultant John Carty said: "This was the first major assignment that SW International had won on its own. It was a great opportunity to promote Scottish Water on the world stage.
The lessons that we have learned in Scotland with the evolution of Scottish Water are very useful now for our international clients."
