A project to carry out essential roadworks in Stoneyburn have been extended for two weeks.
The works to Main Street, Stoneyburn, are now expected to continue until 6 March. West Lothian Council has said weather conditions and drainage issues are to blame for the extension.
A spokesperson for the council said: "We regret any inconvenience to Stoneyburn and Bents residents while this essential speed cushion replacement work is completed.
"The road closures are necessary to allow safe working due to the width of the road, and there are no alternative routes in the area.
"Unfortunately snow and freezing conditions, and issues with the drainage in the area, have caused delays, so we are anticipating the road closure will last for an additional two weeks until 6 March.
"All consideration has been taken to reduce the impact of the works on the community of Stoneyburn and Bents. We have already identified ways to complete the programme quicker, and will continue to work with the contractor to find ways to minimise the disruption as far as possible."
