The housing market in Scotland outperformed the rest of the UK last month, new figures from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has revealed.
An increase in buyer enquiries, a stronger price growth and higher confidence in the market has contributed to the performance.
Scotland's housing market had the greatest buyer interest with a number of respondents saying new land and buildings transaction tax (LBTT) would help encourage more first-time buyers to get on the property ladder.
Looking at the other UK regions, Northern Ireland recorded the greatest buyer interest, while in England and Wales, the findings revealed a continuation of a cooling market, with price growth all but levelled off.
