SHE Transmission is seeking feedback in relation to the Stronelairg Wind Farm grid connection proposals.
Plans for the project have already been amended following a series of consultations, but further opinions are being sought on the scheme.
An event will be held next week (12 February) to allow the local community to view and discuss the changed plans with the project team.
The two main aspects of the planned connection to the National Grid involve a new transmission connection and a new substation, and the latest proposals will focus investigations on an underground cable connection from the wind farm to a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation, located by Garva Bridge, near Laggan.
The 'GIS substation' design is said to be significantly smaller than a traditional 'Air Insulated Switchgear' (AIS) substation. It is anticipated that the substation will be around 2.3 hectares, with additional land needed to screen the site.
The public consultation will be held at Laggan Village Hall on 12 February, from 2pm to 7.30pm. Details of the plans can also be found here.
Feedback on the proposals are welcomed and should be submitted by Friday 10 April 2015.
