Galliford Try has confirmed it has now reached financial close in relation to the new Wick Community Campus.

The £48.5m Hub North Scotland Ltd contract, on behalf of the Highland Council, will see the campus replace the current Wick High School, South Primary School, Pulteneytown Academy Primary School, the Carnegie Library and the community swimming pool.

Morrison Construction, part of Galliford Try, will be responsible for the construction work which has already commenced on site.

It is expected to be completed by September 2016.

Galliford Try has also said it will invest £1.6m in funding for the project and will provide ongoing hard facilities maintenance and lifecycle management services. This contract is worth around £13m over a 25-year concession period.
