Controversial plans to create a permanent halting site for travellers are set to be shelved, it has been reported.
According to BBC Scotland, the proposals will be discussed next week, but they are not expected to go ahead.
Earlier this year, Aberdeen City Council announced Howes Road – located between Northfield and Bucksburn – was the preferred location for the site.
The plans have been included as part of the city's local development plan.
Fierce opposition has been voiced by the local community in relation to the proposals.
