Planning permission has been granted for the Alumno Developments in Aberdeen, which will see new student accommodation built in an effort to alleviate shortages.
The development for Powis Place will create around 196 beds for students close to the University of Aberdeen.
Part of the development will also see 20 new car parking spaces built alongside parking for 70 bicycles.
Work will start soon, with the expected completion date being in time for a new term in September 2016.
Alumno Developments is understood to be looking for similar development opportunities in Aberdeen.
