Increased Capacity For Football Stadium

Queen of the South Football Club has confirmed it has received planning approval to increase capacity at its stadium.

The approval means capacity at the Palmerston Park ground will increase by almost 2,000, from 6,722 to 8,690, and comes on the back of recent improvement works at the venue.

It is thought some 3,377 supporters will now be able to sit in the Rosfield Savage and Gates Power Transmission Stands, while the remaining numbers will be made up through increased terracing in the Portland Road and Terregles Street sections of the ground.
